Welcome

The Bakery Flat is at the rear of Swell Devon Bakery and is accessed via 3 steps to an outdoor decked area. 

The flat comfortably sleeps 6 people. 

The main bedroom has a king sized bed and en-suite with walk in shower and balcony (beds can be split to form 2 small singles).  The second bedroom has a  double bed and separate bathroom with bath and shower over. There is a bunk bedroom off the entrance hallway with toilet and sink next door in utility room.

 The Bakery at the front of the building sells basic groceries, speciality deli items, cakes, pastries, coffee and now wine! They now serve wine and pizza on a Friday and Saturday evening.

Parking for one car is in a secure garage underneath the flat, if cars are smaller then 2 may fit in but there is on street parking outside too.  There's also exercise equipment in there if a workout is needed 

The Bakery Flat has free Wifi and a smart TV with Netflix, Prime TV and Now TV among others. 

 The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There's also a washing machine in the utility room.

   The hosts provided and thought of everything with some little personal touches too! Communication was excellent throughout and nothing was too much trouble. The beds were comfy, there is so much storage space and the whole place just feels airy and spacious. It is a 10 min drive from Torcross beach, which is a shingly/sandy beach (it use to be full pebbles!) but sandy enough for the children to do some digging if the weather is on your side! Hope Cove is our favourite beach, with a few bars and restaurants scattered around. This is about 25 minutes drive. (Suitable for bucket and spade fun with the kids!) Bonus: We are also massive fans of log burners and it was so nice to have it lit every night. We bought supplies from the local petrol station and it cost about £17 for logs, kindling and fire lighters. It was so cosy. We will definitely return!  

 Had a lovely time staying in The Bakery Flat, from the moment we booked our stay Deb was helpful with local information and kept in touch about our stay. We were attending a family wedding, and didn't know the area at all so the information we got from Deb was very much appreciated. The flat itself has everything you need for a fab stay, attention to detail was brilliant, lovely furnishings and VERY comfy beds. The little touches like the cake, milk, tea and sugar were very welcome, and the prosecco even better sitting chilled in the fridge. There were 4 adults in our party and we had plenty of room on the lovely huge sofa to chill out on Sunday after a very busy day on Saturday, we also enjoyed a lovely takeaway from the Indian in Kingsbridge recommended in the book, Maha Bharat - delicious. In conclusion this is a beautiful flat tucked behind a very nice bakery (yes we tried that as well), everything you need for a perfect stay, we will be recommending it to others in our family and we will be back - thank you Deb  

 The beautiful coastal town of Salcombe sits on the banks of the Kingsbridge Estuary making it one of the prettiest towns in South Devon. Located within the South Devon Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, Salcombe is known for its outstanding coastal views and rolling surrounding countryside.  

Around 25 minutes drive away and can be reached by bus changing in Kingsbridge and by ferry from Kingsbridge in high season
